The Beginning...
This all started in the summer of 2007 when my dear friend Kathy heard
about the need for chemo caps for breast cancer patients. Being very
involved in the cause, Kathy jumped right in and volunteered to make
some. She quickly recruited several friends. That is when things took
off. We now have a group of people who knit, crochet, “Knifty Knit” and
machine sew. And boy do they make caps! Our current count is over 2800
and the caps are now available for all types of cancer patients.

We did learn a few things along the way:
1) All types of cancer patients need caps
3) Any size, any color, any style
4) One large chemo center can distribute 50 caps in about 2 days
5) The need is endless (until they find a cure)
